If this is your first time using my services, I will meet with you before the first scheduled sitting to become acquainted with you, your cat, and the whole care routine. I will invoice the services once the meeting is completed.
Yes I take care of your kitties and their small indoor friends such as hamsters, mice, rabbits. No exotic pets or dogs.
While you're off on adventures, I'm the trusty guardian of your Cat Heroes, holding the keys to their meow-nificent kingdom! Here's the deal: while I'm on duty, no tag-teaming with other pet-sitters, friends, family, or that neighbor who swears they're a "cat whisperer." If they step in, I'm off the hook for any feline fiascos that occur on their watch. Should others wander into your Cat Heroes' domain, or if it's not locked up like Fort Knox, I can't be blamed for any kitty capers. So, if someone else joins the party, any furry faux paws are on them, not The Cat Heroes! 🐱🔑
Leaving your keys in a lockbox is preferable for easy pickup and return. If you cannot leave your keys in a lockbox, you can use my lockbox in Alameda. I can also pick up and drop off keys for $20 each way. Additionally, I can leave your keys in your house on the last day; however, this is not ideal due to potential trip delays and emergencies. I will not hide keys outside the home because of liability concerns. You can also give me your keys to hold on file for future sitting requests. Two sets of keys are always preferable if one is lost or malfunctions. It is also recommended that your in-person backup person has some way to access your house. If you have an e-lock/keyless entry system, please provide a key as a precaution against malfunctions.
If The Cat Heroes arrives at any of the Clients' scheduled sittings and the keys or locks do not work correctly, or if The Cat Heroes is otherwise unable to access the Client's home and a locksmith is required to access the Clients home, the Client is responsible for all locksmith-related costs as well as fees for The Client will be billed $38 per hour, travel time, plus any mileage incurred addition to any new sitting services. My insurance will cover any loss of keys which requires new locks and keys. The Cat Heroes will keep a date and time log and any receipts. An invoice will be issued and due seven days after the client's trip return.
When you are researching cat sitters and companies, ask them about their Backup Emergency Plan. I will inform you immediately if I cannot attend your scheduled cat-sitting appointment due to unforeseen circumstances, such as a personal emergency or veterinary issue. It is essential to keep you updated and discuss the next steps.
I have reliable independent cat sitters who can assist me for up to three days. They will work with me directly and receive all the information about your cat. I will also send you reports through Time to Pet.
If I cannot provide care after three days, I will help transition you to another sitter. With your consent, your designated emergency contact and the new cat sitter will receive your Time to Pet instructions, which include your cat's care details to ensure everything is covered. This way, your feline friend will receive excellent care, even in unexpected situations.
Once you and the new sitter have finalized the arrangement, the new sitter will take over entirely and work directly with you. I will make arrangements to hand over your keys. I will also be available to answer any questions regarding the Time to Pet instructions. You will communicate directly with the new sitter if any questions or issues arise. Additionally, you will receive a full refund for any missed days during my sitting.
